Mabel Pearl Heiden Schutt, age 95, passed away on Monday, October 18, 1999 at Ellsworth Municipal Hospital in Iowa Falls. Mabel was born on July 10, 1904 to Ernest and Anna Thorman Heiden in Vernon Township, Wright County, Iowa and attended and graduated from a Wright county rural school. In Christian faith she was baptized and confirmed in the Vernon Lutheran Church. She married Henry Meyer Schutt on September 16, 1925. During the first two years they lived south of Big Wall Lake in Wright County. Since 1927 she lived north of Williams. Survivors are Anna Huisinga and husband, Henry of Clarion, Marilyn Ubben of Williams, Fred Schutt and wife, Mary of Williams, Sharon Brandt and husband, Ronald of Ackley, and Thomas Schutt and wife, Pam of Williams; daughters-in-law, Sally Schutt of Alden and Norma Schutt of Jefferson; brother, Herbert Heiden and wife, Vivian of Williams; sisters, Vernie Schutt of Clarion and Goldie Nachazel of Kansas City; sister-in-law, Doris Heiden of Alden; 26 grandchildren; and 25 great grandchildren. Mabel was preceded in death by her parents; husband in October 1970, her two son's John in May 1986 and William in July 1997; a grandson, Gregory in 1964; son-in-law Melvin Ubben in September 1991; three brothers, Fred Heiden, Irvin Heiden, and Leo Heiden; and a sister, Myrtle Rockow.
Mabel's intersts in life were her family, tending to the life of the warm, her church, and her love to gardening and poultry. She will be missed by family and many friends.
