Lawrence Johnson, 83, of Clarion, died Friday (Sept. 22, 1995)at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Holmes Lutheran Church in Holmes with the Rev. Carlton Shaw officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery, Eagle Grove. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Willim Funeral Home in Clarion.

Lawrence Johnson was born Sept. 23, 1911, at Akre, Karmoy, Norway. Survivors include his wife, Glennys Johnson; three daughters, Jerilyn Kay, Atlantic, Barbara Palmer, Dunwoody, Ga., and Jamie Hughet, Nevada; one son, David Johnson, of Eagle Grove; 14 grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and one sister.
