Keith E. Nichols, 48, of 31 Gloucester Circle, Bloomington, Illinois died at 5 p.m. Saturday (July 29, 1995) at St. Joseph Medical Center, Bloomington. His funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at First Lutheran Church, Clarion, Iowa, the Rev. William Granger officiating. Burial will be in Clarion Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Willim Funeral Home, Clarion, Iowa. Kibler-Smith Memorial Home, Bloomington, is in charge of local arrangements.

Survivors include his wife Mary; two sons, Kenneth, Champaign, and Michael, at home; his parents, Eldo and Josephine Nichols, Clarion, Iowa; three brothers, Nick, Clarion; Bill, Pensacola, Fla.; and Steve, San Diego; three sisters, Joan Lomas, Olney, and Beth Schultz and Jean Ridenour, both of Clarion.

Mr. Nichols was born Dec. 11, 1946, in Clarion, Iowa. He graduated from Iowa State University in Ames, Iowa, in 1969 with a bachelor of science degree in farm management. After graduation, he completed naval flight training and was commissioned an officer. After leaving the Navy, Keith worked as a farm manager and agricultural consultant throughout the Midwest and operated his own firm at the time of his death. Mr. Nichols was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church of Bloomington.
