Joseph V. Arvizu, 78, of Urbandale, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, April 9, 1997, in Kavanagh House, Des Moines, after an illness. Services: 10 a.m. Saturday, Westover Funeral Home, Des Moines. Burial: 2 p.m. Saturday, Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion. The family will greet friends from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Survivors include his wife, Mary; a daughter, Christine of West Des Moines; and a son, David of Denver, Colo.
