Harold T. "Bud" Johnson, age 76 of Spring Lake Park, went to be with the Lord on January 1, 2003 after a 6 year battle with cancer. 20 year employee of Anoka County Park & Rec. Dept. He was a member of Emmanuel Christian Center. He served in the U.S. Naval Armed Guard in the South Pacific during WWII. Preceded in death by parents; 4 brothers; and 1 sister. Survived by wife of 56 years, Frances Johnson; daughters & sons-in-law, Karen Johnson & Jimmy Schlageter of Knoxville, TN, Beverly & Joel Goodwin of Champlin, MN; sister, Gertrude Wright of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, William Harshman of Dover, DE, Karline & husband Dan Neumann of Denver, CO, and Terri & husband Mike Hietala of Hutchinson, MN; 4 great-grandchildren, Nicholas, Jennifer, Dylan and Christopher. The family will receive friends from 5-7 PM Sunday, Jan 12 at Methven-Taylor Funeral Home, 10235 University Ave. NE, Blaine. Services will be conducted at 11 AM Monday at Emmanuel Christian Center, 7777 University Ave NE, Spring Lake Park, with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be in Goldfield, IA. Memorials are pref. in lieu of flowers. Methven-Taylor.
