Funeral Program

Ethel was born 12/8/1922 on a farm near Rockwell City, IA, the daughter of James E. & Minnie Margaret Ehler Ryan. She was raised and educated at Rockwell City and Dows. On 9/19/1940 she and Theodore (Bud) Korth were united in marriage at the Lutheran parsonage in Eagle Grove. the couple farmed the Korth family farm east of Dows and operated Korth Trucking. They had 4 children. Bud died in 1973 and she continued to live on the farm. Ethel died at the Hampton Health Care Center where she had been since 11/22. Survivors include Mardean Korth of Dows, Norval & his wife Denise of Dows, Melody Jennings of Latimer and Jacqueline Sandersfeld and husband Paul of Latimer. 7 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, 3 brothers; Edward of Kanawha, Walter of Dows, Glenn of Hampton & 3 sisters; Elsie Rockow of Garner & Darlene Aldrich & Jean Walrod of Belmond. Burial was in Morgan Cemetery east of Dows.
