Rhoda Ione (Bohning) Kohler, 62, died on Wednesday, January 21, 2004, at the Pheasant Point Assisted Living in Molalla, Oregon. Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 24, at the Foot Hills Community Church in Molalla. Rhoda was born on August 24, 1941 in Belmond, the daughter of Paul Andrew and Esther Pauline Dorenkamp Bohning. She graduated from the Alexander High School in 1959. She married and moved to Key West and Jacksonville Beach, Florida. Then she settled in the Eugene and Portland, Oregon areas. About twenty years ago she was declared legally blind. She worked for the Society for the Blind for many years.

Rhoda was preceded in death by her father; and a stillborn infant. Survivors include husband, Harry (Bud) Kohler of Molalla; her mother of Belmond; son, Michael Shane (Chelsea) Madison of Molalla; brothers, Wayne (Val Jean) Bohning of Beach Park, Illinois, Royce (her twin) and Cherie Bohning of Ames and Norman Bohning of Hurst, Texas; two nieces and five nephews.
