James Crimmings, 90, of Cedar Falls, died on Sunday, December 7, 2003, at the Sartori Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, December 10, at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. James was born on October 2, 1913 in Grafton, the son of James and Bertha Molsberry Crimmings. He attended Luther College and graduated from Buena Vista College. He was a teacher and coach for many years in Belmond, Carroll, Mason City, Rockford, Osage, Glidden and in Colorado, retiring in 1980. He was a professional ball player in the 1930s and served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
Survivors are his wife, Bernece Rita; sons, Timothy of Mason City and James Michael (Aida) of California; and two daughters, Dian (George) Galloway of Virginia and Jody Fitzgerald of Waterloo.
