Beverly Duane Quandt, 77, of Belmond, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the Belmond Medical Center. A private graveside memorial service and interment were held on Monday, April 21, at the Meservey Cemetery, with Pastor Michael Druhl of the Belmond United Methodist Church officiating.

Beverly, the son of Rudolph and Ethel Pabst Quandt, was born on July 25, 1925, in Belmond, where he also attended school. Bev was a laborer, placing new rails and ties for the railroad at General Mills. He was also employed by Dr. S. P. Leinbach to do yard work. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Rudy, Jr. and Lewis. Beverly is survived by his sister, Ida Mae Schuster of Norfolk, Virginia; and brother, Gordon (Ardis) Quandt of Mesa, Washington.
