Linda Kay Pratt, 43, of Cedar Falls, died on Tuesday, April 26, 2005, at the Cedar Valley Hospice in Waterloo, after a long fight with breast cancer. Funeral services were held on Friday, April 29, at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, with interment in the Fairview Cemetery, both in Cedar Falls.

Linda was born on December 11, 1961 in Waterloo, the daughter of Donald and Rita (Palmersheim) Rosauer. She was a 1980 graduate of the Gilbertville-Don Bosco High School and received her BA in elementary education from the University of Northern Iowa in 1984. She married James Pratt on December 29, 1984 at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Gilbertville. Linda was an elementary school teacher in Belmond for five years and taught fourth grade at Lincoln Elementary School in Cedar Falls for fourteen years.

Linda was preceded in death by her father-in-law, William Pratt. Survivors include her husband; children, Maria, Emily and Christopher at home; her parents; brothers, Dennis (Helene) Rosauer of Urbandale, Gary (Janice) Rosauer of Gilbertville, Steven Rosauer of Washburn, Robert (Coleene) Rosauer of Ft. Myers, Florida and Larry (Vanessa) Rosauer of Waterloo; sisters, Julie (Joe) Frost of Gilbertville, Patti (Randy) Ragsdale of Reinbeck, Teresa (Brent) Buszka of Iowa City, Annette Weber of Urbandale and Angie (Stan) Hemesath of Waterloo; and mother-in-law, Roberta Pratt of Waterloo.
