Cecil Dewain Eccles, Tucson, AZ, died May 15, 2006. A burial service will be held in Belmond on Saturday, June 24 at 11 a.m. Cecil was born in Belmond on August 14, 1941, the son of Glenn and Edna Eccles. He graduated with the Class of 1959, attended college in Ames, and enlisted in the Air Force to serve his country for several years. He was educated in engineering and continued in that career for the remainder of his life. Cecil was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Belmond where he was confirmed. He was extremely active in the Boy Scouts of America, achieving the rank of Eagle, and was a member of the Order of the Arrow.

Cecil was preceded in death by his parents; brother Kenneth; a nephew; and a great niece. He is survived by his children Cary (Elizabeth) of Hamilton, MT, Eric (Monica) of Tucson, Anna of Tucson, and Trevor (Stephanie) of Tucson; grandchildren Cortnie, Daniel, Ashley, Dane, Cody, Taylor, Ryan and Nickolus; brothers Edward, Stanley and Dennis; sisters Betty and Margaret; one uncle; three aunts; and other family members.
