Venetta Black, 88, died October 29, 2006. Services were held November 3 in Joplin, MO. Venetta was born March 13, 1918 in LaFontaine, KS, daughter of Weston and Wanda Welch. She married Frank Black July 10, 1952 in Arkansas. The Blacks have lived in Joplin since 1972. Venetta is survived by her husband Frank; daughters Linda Lansford of Bolivar, MO, and Beverly Havlicek of Lexington, KY; two brothers; and two sisters. Venetta and Frank operated the Belmond A & W Drive-In during the early 1960's.
