Constance Elizabeth Binder, 82, passed away on Thursday, November 2, 2006, at the Mercy Hospital Medical Center, Sioux City. Funeral services were held on Tuesday, November 7, at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Royal, Iowa at 10:30 a.m. Pastor Peggy A. Rose officiated. Interment was in the North Lawn Memorial Park, Spencer.

Constance Elizabeth Hall, was born on March 5, 1924 in Goldfield, the daughter of Charles Leo and Hilda Luella Shaw Hall. Her childhood years were spent in Meservey, where she received her education in rural schools and later graduated from the Meservey High School. Following her schooling, she continued to live in Meservey until moving to Spencer in 1956, where she worked as a housekeeper for Chris Binder. Connie married Chris Edward Binder on April 25, 1970 in Royal, Iowa. Following their marriage, they continued to live on a farm near Royal. She was a member of the Bethlehem Lutheran Church, where she was active in the church circle, the altar guild and held several offices and women of the church. She was a member of the Woman's Relief Corps, Secretary of the Iowa Department of Women's Relief Corps, Annett Corps #287 and held several offices with them. Connie enjoyed collecting kerosene lamps, vases, dolls and horses and loved to do handiwork.

Connie is survived by one sister, Wyona Denger and husband, Faye of Clarion; one brother, Charles Hall and wife, Liz of Des Moines; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Chris on September 23, 1994; two brothers, Franklin Joseph and Jerome; and one sister, Sharon Lee.
