Wilbur Eugene Sebert, 82, of Clarion, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2006, at the USA Health Care Center, Clarion. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 25, at 11:00 a.m., at the United Presbyterian Church, Clarion. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Clarion.

Wilbur E. Sebert, was born on October 6, 1924 in Clarion, the son of Frank and Blanche (Whipple) Sebert. He was raised in the Clarion area and attended school at Grant Township #3 and later attended high school in Clarion, graduating in 1941. He was united in marriage to his sweetheart, Ila Mae Bisgrove on June 7, 1942, at the Epworth Methodist Church, Fort Dodge. This union was blessed with four children and 57 years of marriage. They raised their family near Lake Cornelia on their Century Farm, which he farmed for 44 years. Wilbur was an avid sportsman and game player. He also loved and enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and friends. He was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Clarmond Country Club, Clarion Lions Club, was a Grant Township Trustee, and measured fields for the United States Department of Agriculture/ASCS of Wright County.

Wilbur is survived by four children, Roger Sebert and wife, Carlene of Visalia, California, Judy Lettow and husband, Everett of Ellsworth, Audrey Quick and husband, Steve of Topeka, Kansas and Rodney Sebert and wife, Leann of Belmond; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one brother, Richard Sebert and wife, Jane of Hillsboro, Indiana; sister-in-law, Phyllis Woodley of Clarion; brother-in-law, Cleo Bisgrove and wife, Wyladene of Clarion; one nephew; and three nieces.
