SINSINAWA, Wis. - Sister Theresa Hart, OP, 90, of Dominican Motherhouse, 585 County Road Z, Sinsinawa, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Nov. 20, 2006, at the Dominican Motherhouse. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Queen of the Rosary Chapel, Dominican Motherhouse, Sinsinawa. Burial will be in the Motherhouse Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:15 p.m. Friday at the Gathering Place, Dominican Motherhouse, where there will be a wake and remembering service at 6:30 p.m. The Hoffmann-Schneider Funeral Home, 1640 Main St., Dubuque, is in charge of arrangements. Sister Theresa was an elementary teacher and principal for 31 years. She served in religious education from 1969 to 1991 and then retired living with her community at Sinsinawa. She served in Minnesota, Wisconsin, New York, Illinois and District of Columbia.

She was born on Feb. 25, 1916, in Eagle Grove, Iowa, daughter of John Francis and Mary Theresa (Hood) Hart. Sister Theresa made her first profession of religious vows on March 8, 1937. Surviving are two brothers, Thomas (Muriel) Hart and Patrick (Paula) Hart; her nieces and a nephew; and her Dominican Sisters with whom she shared life for 69 years.
