C. Culmer Dies July 16, At Home of Daughter in Ashland, Oregon

Charley Culmer was born in Northville township, LaSalle County, Illinois, on October 2, 1875. He was a son of John and Sarah Culmer. On December 18, 1901, he was united in marriage in Iowa. He is survived by five children, Mrs. Eva Stauffer and Clifford Culmer, of Eagle Grove, Iowa; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Beebe, Mrs. Goldie Schumaker, Mrs. Abbie Elwood, of Sandwich, and one brother, Dallas Culmer, of Des Moines, Iowa; six grandchildren , nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was living with his daughters, Mrs. Eva Stauffer, in Ashland, Oregon, where he was ill about two weeks and was taken to the Community hospital where he died on Saturday morning, July 16, at 11:35 o’clock. Funeral services were held from the Litwiller funeral home at 10:30 o’clock Tuesday morning July 19, the Rev. C. E. Dunham of the Baptist church, officiating. Interment was in the Mountainview cemetery, Ashland, Oregon.
