ADAMS, MN -- The funeral for Elizabeth Knight will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Little Cedar Lutheran Church in Adams, with the Rev. Shari A. Mason officiating. Interment will be at 3 p.m. Thursday in Glenwood Cemetery in Goldfield, Iowa. Mrs. Knight, 90, of Adams, died Sunday (June 4, 2006) at Adams Health Care Center. Elizabeth Lipsey was born Sept. 26, 1915, in Potterville, Mich. She graduated from Charlotte (Mich.) High School in 1933 and attended business school in Lansing, Mich. She married Richard Knight on Feb. 10, 1940, in Goldfield, Iowa. They farmed in the Goldfield area until 1948, when they moved to Adams, where they also farmed. She was a member of the Little Cedar Lutheran Church and was active in the WELCA. She had also been a 4-H leader in Adams and was a member of the Mower County Republicans, the Farm Bureau and the Mower County Red Cross.

Survivors include a daughter, Mardel Knight of Baltimore, Md.; a son, Keith (Betsy) of Adams; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two brothers, Martin (Phyllis) Lipsey of Charlotte, Mich., and Robert (Charlotte) Lipsey of Marshall, Mich.; and a sister, Beverly Lipsey of Charlotte, Mich. She was preceded in death by her husband and a grandson. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Adams Funeral Home, and an hour before the service Thursday at the church.
