Former Goldfield Resident Dies at Ft. Dodge
Mrs. Edward Clue of Ft Dodge died Saturday morning at Mercy hospital were she had been a medical patient since Monday. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at the Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Maurice Mullen in charge. Burial was in the Calvary cemetery at Eagle Grove. A rosary service was also held Monday evening at 8 o'clock at the Laufersweiler funeral home in Ft Dodge. Mrs. Clue is survived by her husband; one daughter, Mrs. George Vilmain of Eagle Grove; two grandchildren, John Edward and Georgene Elizabeth Vilmain of Eagle Grove; two brothers, Trenton Graves of Jesup and Orson Graves of Kansas City, Mo., and a sister, Mrs. Jack Bantz of Independence. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Graves preceded her in death. Born in Buchanan county, Mrs. Clue attended the schools of that vicinity. As a young woman she moved to Ames where she was employed for a number of years as a buyer for the Peterson and Moore Ladies' ready-to-wear store. She was married to Edward A. Clue. The Clues established their home at Jesup, later moving to Goldfield. They resided there until 1946 when they moved to Ft Dodge. While at Goldfield, Mrs. Clue was Active in the work of the Camp Fire Girls organization.November 26, 1953

Funeral services were held in Sacred Heart church Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock for Mrs. Edward A. Clue, Fort Dodge, who died Saturday morning at Mercy hospital in Fort Dodge. Rev. Maurice Mullan officiated and burial was in Calvary cemetery. Mrs. Clue, a former resident of Goldfield, was the mother of Mrs. George Vilmain of Eagle Grove. She has been ill for several months but had been in the hospital only a few days.
Mrs. Clue is survived by her husband, a former manager of the Goldfield creamery, her daughter Mrs. Vilmain, two grandchildren, John Edward and Georgine Elizabeth Vilmain, two brothers Trenton Graves of Jessup, Orson Graves of Kansas City, Mo., and one sister Mrs. Jack Blantz of Independence, Iowa. Out of town relatives and friends attending the services were Mrs. Grace Bevin, Jesup; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Hare, Mrs. Rose Croey, Waterloo; Earl Clue, Hazelton; Frances Westermier, Tampico, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. Matt Amphar, Algona; Mr. and Mrs. Jack Blantz, Mr. and Mrs. Duane Hare, Independence, Orson Graves, Kansas City, Mo.; Mr. and Mrs. Frank Dicksens, Ames; Mr. and Mrs. C. P. McGrane, Fort Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Kidd, Forest City; Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Jennings, Belmond; Donald Durant, Forest City.
