Wright county's oldest living resident, Mrs. Mattie Stringman passed away at the age of 101 years and 8 months at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Clara Bennett of Dows. She is survived by six living children. In this area those surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Klara Bennett of Dows and a granddaughter, Mrs. Robert Ericksen. Mrs. Stringman spent several summers at Lake Cornelia at her daughter's cottage there. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, Feb. 7 at Stuart, Iowa, where she was a pioneer resident for 80 years.
