Glen Beinhauer’s Funeral Service At 2 p.m. Today
Funeral services for Glen Beinhauer, Des Moines Tribune sports writer who died Tuesday, will be held at 2 p.m. today at Dunn’s Funeral Home. Interment will be in Glendale Masonic cemetery. Pallbearers have been chosen from associates of Beinhauer in the sports department of The Register and Tribune. The list includes sec Taylor, Bert McGrane, Frank Brody, Harold Claassen, Tony Cordaro and Arthur Walton.

G. Beinhauer, Writer, Dies
Pneumonia Is Fatal to Tribune Employee

Glen Beinhauer, 22, Tribune sports writer, died early Tuesday in Iowa Methodist hospital. He had been ill at his home, 4418 University Ave., since Wednesday with pneumonia. He was taken to the hospital Sunday when his condition became acute. He had lived in Des Moines 11 years and attended Perkins grammar school. He was graduated from Roosevelt High school in 1927 and from Drake University in June 1931. He had been employed by The Register and Tribune for three years. Mr. Beinhauer was born in Stanton, N.D., December 28, 1909. His family moved to Dows, Iowa when he was 2 years old. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Dunn’s Funeral Home. Place of burial will be decided later. Surviving are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. L. (Martha) Beinhauer, a brother, Frank of Chicago, and a sister, Myrtle of Des Moines.
