Joanne E. Steinhoff, 78, of Eagle Grove died Saturday, October 7, 2006 at her home. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 12th at Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove with Rev. Chris Podhajsky officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be in McGuire Bend Cemetery near Stratford. Visitation will be one hour prior to the services at the church where there will be a Catholic Daughters of the Americas Rosary at 10:00 a.m. Laufersweiler-Sievers Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Surviving is her husband, Thomas of Eagle Grove; son, Stephen of Moorestown, NJ, daughters, Candace Haldin and her husband Dave of Barnum, Carolyn Lane of Maui, HI; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary McGee of San Diego, CA, Marge Hewitt of St. Charles, MN, Ruth Lamke of Onalaska, WI. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Caroline (Heim) Selleck.

Joanne Elizabeth Selleck was born November 24, 1927 in Winona, MN. She attended schools in St. Charles, MN and graduated from St. Charles High School. On November 3, 1946 she was united in marriage to Thomas Steinhoff and they established their home in Fort Dodge. Joanne worked in accounting at Mid Continent Lumber for a number of years and then worked for 10 years the Fort Dodge Labs until her retirement in 1980. She and Tom moved to Stockton, MO and later lived in Shell City, Mo until 2000 when they moved to Eagle Grove. Joanne was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Eagle Grove and the Catholic Daughters of the Americas. Memorials may be left to E.M.S. Services of Eagle Grove.
