Ruth E. Manning, 97 passed away on February 17, 2004. Born in Clarion, Iowa to Dr. and Mrs. Albert Littlefield, the family moved to Phoenix when she was a young child. Mrs. Manning is survived by her son Dave and daughter-in-law Peggy, grandchildren Melanie and Michael, granddaughter-in-law Jennifer, and four great grandchildren, McKenzie, Drew, Daniel and Jonathan, all of Paradise Valley, AZ. Mrs. Manning was preceded in death by her husband, Reg Manning an editorial cartoonist for the Arizona Republic for over 50 years, and brother Ernest Littlefield. Visitation will be Friday, February 20, 2004 from 7-9:00 P.M. at Messinger Mortuary, 7601 E.Indian School Rd., Scottsdale. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Phoenix Children's Hospital, 1919 E. Thomas Rd., Phoenix, AZ 85016.
