Cynthia R. Rice, 53, died Saturday, May 20, 2006. Memorial Funeral Services will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at the Peterson Funeral Home in Carlisle, IA with family present for visitation between 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Cynthia was born in Clarion, Iowa. She attended the Lighthouse Community Church. She is survived by her husband, Tim Rice of Carlisle, daughters, Traci (Darin) Van Gorp of Carlisle, Teresa Buzzard (Toby Ghee) of Ankeny; sons, Shane, Danny and Larry Rice - all of Des Moines; mother, Darlene Jorgensen of Carlisle; brothers, Terry Jorgensen (Tami) of Indianola, Bruce Jorgensen (Theresa) of Carlisle; sisters, Linda Myhre (Jerry) of Minot, North Dakota, Lori Floyd (Ron) of Carlisle; 11 grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews, and friends who loved her. She was preceded in death by her father, Leo Jorgensen, grandparents and a nephew. Memorials may be made out to the Lighthouse Community Church. Burial will be in the Carlisle City Cemetery.
