Rena J. Leeper, 88, of Kellogg died of a bowel ailment Sunday at Roseville Medical Center in Roseville, Calif. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Smith Funeral Home in Grinnell, with burial at Hazelwood Cemetery there. Mrs. Leeper was born in Eagle Grove and had lived in Waterloo and in Grinnell 20 years before moving to Kellogg in 1967. She was the retired owner and operator of Leeper Music Store in Grinnell and a member of American Legion Auxiliary and Kellogg Garden Club. She enjoyed photography, genealogy and traveling.

She is survived by a son, James of Roseville a sister, Velva Gustafson of Waterloo three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy. Friends may call from noon to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rena J. Leeper Memorial Fund.
