John D. Kelly, 81, passed away Sunday, July 7, 2002. Born in Eagle Grove, IA, on March 14, 1921, John married Marilean Doyle in 1947. The Kelly family moved to Colorado Springs in 1957, where he owned and operated Kelly Construction/JDK Construction for over 30 years until retiring in the early 1990's.

John is survived by Marilean, his wife of 55 years; 3 daughters: Mary Davis of Littleton, CO, Theresa McCormick of Colorado Springs, Jeanette Kelly of Manhattan Beach, CA; and two sons: Fr. Greg Kelly of McKinney, TX; and Dennis Kelly of Plymouth, MI. He also has seven grandchildren. A Rosary service will be held Tuesday, July 9, at Nolan Funeral Home at 7:00 p.m., with visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass is scheduled at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 10, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Fountain, CO. followed by the interment at Evergreen Cemetery. Donations can be made in lieu of flowers to St. Mary's High School.
