Corwin Peer, age 83, of Yankton passed away Monday, January 16, 2006, at the Human Services Center in Yankton, SD. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 21, 2006, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Yankton with Rev. Dave Wildermuth officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date in Goldfield, Iowa.Visitations will be one hour prior to the service at the church.
Honorary pallbearers will be Gary Peer, Adam Peer, Dr. Jim Loux, Steve Loux, Norman Peer, Darrel Schneiderman and Gary Basler.

Corwin was born on March 10, 1922, to Irwin and Laura (Tanck) Peer in Renwick, IA. On December 31st, 1942, he was united in marriage to LaVonne Helmke in Parkersburg, Iowa. He was the manager of the Cargill Grain Elevator for over 25 years. Corwin is survived by his wife, LaVonne Peer of Yankton, SD; his son, Gary William (Marie) Peer of Craig, CO; a sister, Carmen Loux of Sheldon, IA; a brother, Norman (Irene) Peer of Renwick, IA and a grandson, Adam Peer of Topeka, KS.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
