Mrs. Geraldine (Jette) Hurd (nee Ingebritson), age 84, a resident of McHenry, Illinois for the past year, and a former longtime resident of Fox Lake, Illinois, died Saturday February 8, 1997 at the Northern Illinois Medical Center in McHenry, IL. She was born on August 1, 1912 in Dows Iowa to Edward and Sadie (nee Miller) Ingebritson, and had been a member of the Popejoy Methodist Church in Popejoy, Iowa, and was very active in the senior citizens activities there. After Mrs. Hurd came to McHenry, she had attended the Ringwood United Methodist Church. She had been a waitress at Inga's Restaurant and Sail Inn, both in the Fox Lake area, before her retirement.

Survivors include: 1 son, Albert J. (Susan E.) Jette of McHenry, IL., with whom she made her home; 1 daughter, Mary (William) Wanhala of Pelkie, MI., and Fox Lake, IL., by 1 brother, Orville (Joyce) Ingebritson of Staples, MN., her sisters; Gwen Miller (and her twin) of Popejoy, Iowa, Alice Bridges of Latimer, Iowa and Faye (Lloyd) Boser of Little Falls, Minnesota, by 13 grandchildren; Linda (Rodney) Mervicker of Saudi Arabia, Jeanne (Monroe) Golliday of York, Neb., Sharon Harris of Dothan, Alabama, Susan Golden of Round Lake, IL., Karen (Mark) Michaelson of Sawyer, MI., Marie (Mike) Smith of Crystal Lake, IL., Lorrie (Craig) Westfall of Lake Villa, IL., Debbi (Brian) Wanhala of Spring Grove, IL., Marci Jette of McHenry, IL., and Donna Erwin of Adams, WI., William A. (Teresa) Wanhala of Pelkie, MI., Kevin (Judy) Wanhala of Spring Grove, IL., Jim (Linda) Wanhala of Richmond, IL., Joseph Jette of McHenry, IL., and Edward (Kathy) Erwin of Rock Away Beach, Missouri, 1 great great grandson as well as other relatives.
She was preceded in death by her husbands: Albert M. Jette, and Lloyd Hurd and by 5 brothers, Owen, Floyd, Leland, Harry and Merton Ingebritson. Friends of the family may call on Monday, February 10, 1997 from 6-9 P.M. at the K.K. HAMPSHER FUNERAL HOME, 12 N. Pistakee Lake Rd., Fox Lake, IL. (The Chapel On The Lake.) Funeral Services will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Tuesday at 10:00 A.M. with the Rev. Diane Ottenbacher officiating from the Ringwood United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at the Fox Lake Cemetery, in Lake Villa, IL.
