Brian N. Vangerpen, 16, Emerado, died Sunday Jan. 19, 1992 from injuries he suffered in an automobile accident west of Grand Forks. Brian Vangerpen was born Jan. 27, 1975, In Phoenix, Ariz., the son of Larry and Sandra Vangerpen. He moved with his parents to Guam and Emperado in 1978. He was a student in the Sophomore class at Larimore (N.D.) High School. Survivors are his parents, sister, Janelle Vangerpen, Emerado and grandparents Gene and Mabel Sturgeon, Dows, Iowa.
Services: 11 a.m. Tuesday Ascension Lutheran Church, emerado. Visitations: 5 to 7 p.m. today, with a 7 p.m. prayer service, Amundson Funeral Home Grand Forks and an hour before services in the church.
