Lyda E. Williams, 99, of the Resthaven Retirement Home, Independence, died March 25, 1993, at the Independence Regional Health Center. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the Speaks Midtown Chapel; graveside services will be at 4:30 p.m. Sunday at the Rose Hill Cemetery, Lamoni, Iowa. Friends may call from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. Sunday at the chapel. Mrs. Williams was born in Wright County, Iowa, and lived in Lamoni before moving to this area in 1975. She was a librarian at Graceland College in Lamoni for 17 years and for the Lamoni Public Library for 21 years before she retired. She was a member of the Resthaven congregation of the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Survivors include a sister, Fern Galbraith, Smyrna, Ga.
