Goldfield Native Passes Suddenly

Frank Foster, 77, a native of Goldfield, died Sunday, Dec. 24, 1950 at Evangelical Deaconess hospital at Marshalltown. He had been taken to the hospital early that day and death was unexpected. Mr. Foster was born Jan. 20, 1873, the son of George and Adelaine Foster. He grew to manhood in this community, living here until moving to Greeley, Colo., in 1916. He was married to Hattie Holiday Aug. 26, 1903. She preceded him in death in 1947. Mr. Foster returned to Iowa after the death of his wife and lived at Goldfield until coming to Marshalltown in 194S where he has since resided. Surviving are a son, Hugh Foster, Wichita, Kan., and two grandchildren. Two sisters also preceded him in death. The body was sent to Greeley, Colo., where burial took place Thursday.
