Ivan J. Nesvold, 85, died Wednesday, April 9, 2003,at St. Luke's Hospital in Duluth. Ivan was born in Dakota City, Iowa on May 17, 1917. He was raised and educated in Humboldt, Iowa. He married Alberta Mae Powers on Dec. 2, 1947. The couple lived in Humboldt, Iowa, and then in Fort Dodge before moving to Otho, Iowa in 1953. After his wife's death, Ivan moved to Duluth, to live with his son Ronnie.

He was preceded in death by his parents Alma and Ingvald Nesvold; wife Alberta, and brothers Allen and Lester Nesvold. Survivors include sons Curtis, Eagle Grove, Iowa, and Ronnie, Duluth; four granddaughters; two great-granddaughters; and one great- grandson. SERVICES: 10:30 a.m., Saturday, April 12, 2003, in Gunderson Funeral Home, Fort Dodge, Iowa.
