Gertrude "Trudy" Irene Cuvelier Born in Galt, IA January 19, 1917 to Clarence State and Shirley State (Crabtree) and a resident of Tucson since February 1957. Trudy was one of eight children and is preceded in death by brothers, Donald, Diehl, Duane and Galen and is survived by sisters, Meredith Ahrens and Audrey Price and brother, Ervin. Trudy was a loving mother and grandmother and is survived by sons, Verlan (Patricia) and Keith (Kathryn); seven grandchildren, Deborah Jorschumb, Lisa Cuvelier, Kenneth Cuvelier, Elizabeth Cuvelier, Nathaniel Cuvelier, Kari Lemon, and Kristin Cuvelier and three great-grandchildren, Jennifer McTarsmey, Christopher Jorschumb, and Kathryn Lemon. She was devoted to God and was a member of the Pantano Christian Church since 1966 where she assisted in Sunday services for over 30 years. Trudy passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 10, 2006. A memorial service will be held at the Pantano Christian Church, 10355 E. 29th Street at 1:00 p.m. on January 21, 2006, and a reception will follow at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Casa De La Luz Hospice.
