He worked for the Pacific Telephone Company for 30 years and then enjoyed 30 years of active retirement that included several cruises and trips to Europe. His beloved wife Cecelia Gisler Roberts, his parents Jay and Isabelle Roberts, and his sister Dorothy Juliff preceded him in death. He was the loving father of Bernie "Butch" Talbot and his wife Julianne and the grandfather of Kristin Anne Talbot. He was kind and loving, full of life, and quick with a smile or laugh. His close friends and his family, including brothers, Morris Roberts of Phoenix, Oregon and Harry Roberts of Glendale, Arizona, and his many nieces and nephews will miss him greatly. He had 50 years of Masonic Lodge membership and was also a member of the Ben Ali Shrine. Other affiliations include the American Legion and the South Sacramento Moose Lodge.
