Maxine L. Flemmer
July 24, 1926 - May 16, 2006

Maxine L. Flemmer, age 79, formerly of San Jose, passed away in Fresno on Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at Saint Agnes Medical Center. Maxine was born in Eagle Grove, Iowa on July 24, 1926. She married and made her home in San Jose. She was a Sears retail sales supervisor for 30 years before retiring to Chowchilla in 1987. Maxine enjoyed crossword puzzles, solitaire, and travel.
Maxine cherished her family and placed them first in her life. She is survived by her son Richard Flemmer Jr. and wife Peggy of San Jose; daughters Nancy Bernstein and husband Kenneth of Chowchilla and Sharon Schmidt and husband Robert of Merced; sisters Doris Judice and husband Louis of New Iberia, Louisiana and Barbara Black of Santa Maria; grandchildren Lynn Lewis and husband Scott of Los Banos and Julie, Jeffrey, and Kevin Bernstein of Chowchilla; and great-grandchildren Hailey, Sarah, and Drew Lewis of Los Banos. Graveside services were held at 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, May 23, 2006 at the Chowchilla District Cemetery in Chowchilla, California. All arrangements are under the direction of Palm Memorial Worden Chapel, 140 S. 6th Street, Chowchilla, CA 93610
