Donald H. Cormaney, 77, of Iowa Falls, formerly of Mason City died on Wednesday August 8, 2001 at his home in Iowa Falls. Funeral Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday August 10th at First United Methodist Church in Iowa Falls with burial to follow at Union Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m.

Donald Harold Cormaney was born on September 19, 1923 in Woolstock, Ia the son of Earl and Anna Marie (Schultz) Cormaney. He married Barbara Huffman on February 22, 1949 in Iowa Falls. Mr. Cormaney was a retired farmer. He served in the U.S. Army from 1945 to 1946. Don enjoyed gardening and fishing in Minnesota and Canada and he was active in the Elliott-Keninger American Legion Post #252 of Ackley. Memorials may be made to the Homeward Hospice of Ames. Survivors include his wife Barbara, Iowa Falls; daughters Chelle Boekholder and Cynthia Abbott, both of Iowa Falls, and Susan (Al) Ites, Ankeny, Ia.; a son Craig (Mary) Cormaney, Lincoln, Ia.; Ten grandchildren and One great-grandchild; brothers Melvin Cormaney, Woolstock, Ia and Carl Cormaney, Blairsburg, Ia; and a sister Daisy Hill, Ellsworth, Ia. Mr. Cormaney was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Adelbert, Chuck, Early Jr., and Kenneth Cormaney and three sisters Esther Riley, Shirley Meyer, and Violet Cormaney.
