Danny S. Pearl, 58, of Knoxville, formerly of Dows, passed away on Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at the V.A. Medical Center in Knoxville. Danny S. Pearl was born on April 4, 1947 in Belmond, the son of Eli and Helen Tudor Pearl. He attended school in Dows, graduating in 1965. He then entered the Air Force, serving until 1968 when he was discharged due to the death of his father. He returned to Dows and lived in Clarion before moving to Fort Dodge, where he remained for several years. Danny then moved to Texas and Alabama, where he lived until returning back to Iowa to live near his sister, Sally. Danny was a free spirit who enjoyed traveling, reading and being with friends.

He is survived by his sister, Sally Meyer and husband, Jeff of Newton; two nieces and one nephew; two great-nephews; one daughter, Annie Reynolds and husband, Todd of Fort Dodge; three grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; one aunt, Marjorie Tudor of Charles City; and many cousins, close friends in Oskaloosa, Texas and Alabama. He was preceded in death by his parents; and several aunts and uncles.
