Leone McClelland, 92, of Clarion, passed away Friday, May 13, 2005 at the USA Health Care Center, Clarion. Funeral services were held on Monday, May 16th at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home in Clarion. Pastor Tim Platt officiated at the 10:30 a.m. service. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Leone Messer was born October 7, 1912, the daughter of Earl and Lillian (Krug) Messer. She graduated from the Eagle Grove High School. On January 1, 1933, she married Leslie (Casey) Raymond McClelland. They settled in Clarion where he was employed by the Great Western Railroad. After her husband's death on March 17, 1950, Leone worked at the Clarion Memorial Hospital until she retired.

She is survived by two sons, Jerry of New Orleans and Paul and wife, Judy of New York; one daughter, Sandra Rhyan and husband, Dennis of North Dakota; 22 grandchildren; and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Earl; and a daughter, Judy Adams.
