Lorraine E. McOllough, 81, of Clarion, died Friday, March 25, 2005 at the Muse Norris Hospice Inpatient Unit in Mason City. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, March 30th at 10:00 a.m., at the Ewing Dugger Helgeson Funeral Home. Burial was in the St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Clarion.
Lorraine Elizabeth Marroni was born March 8, 1924, the daughter of Antonio and Louise (Buccella) Marroni in Mason City. She graduated from the Mason City High School in 1944. She cared for her parents until the time of their deaths in 1959. On November 28, 1962, she was united in marriage to Dean B. McOllough at the Holy Family Catholic Church in Mason City. Dean and Lorraine made their home on their farm six miles south of Clarion. She loved living on the farm and being a wife and mother to her two daughters, Sandy and Cathy. She was an excellent cook, her specialty being Italian food. Lorraine was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church in Clarion.
Lorraine is survived by her husband, Dean of Clarion; two daughters, Sandra K. Humphrey and husband, Randy of Mason City and Cathy K. McOllough of Mason City; two sisters, Lucy Bilyeu and Angeline Melby; a brother, Gabriel Marroni and wife, Patricia; sisters-in-law, Verlene McOllough of Clarion and Ruth Marroni; brother-in-law, Ralph Johnson; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; a twin sister, Rose; sisters, Jenny Graham, Nancy Capuzucci, Yolanda Nashiem, Mary Johnson and Marie Kallas; and one brother, Wuttie Marroni.
