Marie Frances Minor, 89, of Clarion, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2005 at the USA Health Care Center in Clarion. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday at the First Lutheran Church in Clarion, with Pastor Gary Boen officiating. Interment will take place at a later date. Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at the church.

Marie Frances Carlson was born April 11, 1915, on a farm near Renwick, the daughter of Thomas and Charlotte (Johnson) Carlson. The family later moved to a farm south of Denhart. On December 28, 1938, Marie was united in marriage to Hans Minor in Kanawha. To this union three sons were born. She was a member of the Fist Lutheran Church in Clarion.

Marie is survived by her three sons, Marvin of Clarion, Gary and wife, Michelle of Goldfield and Howard and wife, Kathy Jo of Humboldt; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald Carlson of Watertown, Wisconsin; and a sister, Margaret Anderson of Kanawha. Marie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; seven brothers, Clifford, Leonard, George, Floyd, Tom, Harold, Clarence; and one sister, Mildred Anderson.
