Helen Irene Didio, 73, died Monday, November 5, 2001, at Trinity Regional Medical Center in Fort Dodge. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, November 8, at the St. John's Catholic Church in Clarion with Father David Beckman officiating. Burial was at St. John's Catholic Cemetery in Clarion. Helen, the daughter of Percy and Gunda (Evans) Moore, was born April 15, 1928, in Wright County. She graduated from Popejoy High School. Helen and Robert Merlyn Didio were united in marriage on August 16, 1947, at St. John's Catholic Church in Clarion. The couple lived in Clarion where Helen was a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, caring for plants and flowers, cooking and baking. Helen was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and the church circle.

She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert Merlyn; two sons, Daryl and Jeffery; one grandson, Alexander; and one sister, Doris. Helen is survived by two sons and one daughter-in-law, Kevin and Karen Didio of Marion, and Brian Didio of Clarion; two grandsons, Brandon and Andy Didio; two sisters, Lucille Anderson of Dows, and Thelma Westray of Rippey; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald "Bud" and June Moore of Belmond, Herb and Colleen Moore of Williams, Max and Barb Moore of Williams, and Walter and Marlys Moore of Dows.
