Memorial services for Kenneth A. Asche, 70, of Clarion will be held Saturday, January 10 at 11 a.m. at the Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with visitation one hour prior to the service. Kenneth Asche passed away on Friday, January 2, 2004 at his home.

Kenneth A. Asche was born June 23, 1933 in Kanawha, the son of Angle and Alice (Omvig) Asche. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove. On August 25, 1951, Kenneth married Bea Swenson at Webster City. He then married Zatha Patterson in 1967 in South Dakota. She preceded him in death in 1993. Kenneth worked at the Hormel plant in Fort Dodge for 30 years, retiring in 1982. He enjoyed gardening, horse races, fishing, sight-seeing, baseball and family.

Survivors include his four sons: Carl and wife, Linda of Morena, California, Verne of San Bernadino, California, Ken and wife, Peg of Rialto, California and Danny and wife, Diane of Hemet, California; four grandchildren; four sisters, Mary Henningson of Clear Lake, Mildred Reed of Eagle Grove, Alice Jean Lessmeier and husband, Harold of Fort Dodge and Linda Asche of Eagle Grove; seven brothers, Don Asche of Eagle Grove, Richard Asche and wife, Janis of Clarion, Ronald Asche and wife, Fran of Caldwell, Idaho, Lawrence Asche and wife, Amy of Eagle Grove; Robert Asche and wife, Judy of Eagle Grove, John Asche and wife, Cindy of Eagle Grove, Terry Arne and wife, Vicki of Eagle Grove and his first wife, Beatrice Asche of San Bernadino, California. Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Zatha; brothers, Ed and Joe; 2 sisters-in-law and 2 brothers-in-law.
