Nellie Rodriguez Francke, 83, of Clarion, died Monday, May 19, 2003 at the Wright Medical Center, Clarion. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 22nd at the Willim Funeral Home in Clarion. Rev. Gary Boen officiated at the 10:00 a.m. service. Burial was in Wisconsin Memorial Park, Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Nellie Rodriguez was born December 1, 1919 in Rock Rapids, the daughter of Ysidro and Luisa Priteo Rodriguez. She attended school in Clarion. On February 23, 1943, she and Kenneth Francke were married in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She worked for the Master Lock Company in Milwaukee as a lockmaker and retired in 1978. After Kenneth died in 1997, she moved back to Clarion and lived in the Southtown Apartments. When Nellie became ill she moved to USA Health Care Center, Clarion. Nellie was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Clarion.

Survivors include five brothers, Al Rodriguez, Sr. of Clarion; Jesse Rodriguez and wife, Delores of Sylmar, California; Tony Rodriguez and wife, Connie of Kansas City, Missouri; Frank Rodriguez and wife, Cheryl of Clarion; Manuel Rodriguez of Kansas City, Missouri; three sisters, Esther Pohlman of Clarion; Adela Rocha of Kansas City, Missouri and Celia Pond and husband, Alan of Swisher; many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Nellie was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one brother, Pete; and one sister, Frances.
