Alberta B. Lawson, 77, of Nokomis died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at Pana Community Hospital. She was born Jan. 27, 1923, in Galt, Iowa, the daughter of Albert and Ada Nelson Schroder. She married Dr. Charles W. Lawson; he preceded her in death in 1976. Mrs. Lawson, a retired homemaker, was a member of the Presbyterian church, Women's Chamber of Commerce, the PTA and the Women's Church Group. Survivors: a daughter, Andrea Swope of Ellia, Mo.; two sons, Jim Jeff Lawson of Rockaway Beach, Mo., and Kenneth (wife, Bonita) Lawson of Edinburg; a granddaughter; a great-grandson; a brother, Eldon (wife, Lucille) Schroder of Beloit, Wis.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Graveside services: 2 p.m. Thursday, Ozark Memorial Cemetery, Branson, Mo., the Rev. Kenneth Lawson officiating. Sutton Memorial Home in Taylorville is in charge of arrangements.
