Harold Pool died 19 June 2004; Born Feb. 25, 1913, in Hancock County, he was the son of Matthew and Pauline Krieg Pool. On April 25, 1937, he married Maxine Alton in Blandinsville. She died Sept. 4, 1998. Mr. Pool farmed near Blandinsville. He also worked as a carpenter and electrician. He grew up in Woolstock, moving to the Blandinsville area after high school. He was a member of Blandinsville Senior Citizens, the Rolling Rivers Camping Club and Blandinsville Christian Church, where he served as deacon. Survivors include one daughter, Peg Calvert of Blandinsville; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. Besides his wife, he was preceded in death by one great-granddaughter. Visitation will begin at 3 p.m. Sunday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home in LaHarpe, Ill. There will be no family visitation. The funeral for Mr. Pool will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday at Banks & Beals Funeral Home, with Eric Gerdts officiating. Burial will be in LaHarpe Cemetery. Memorials have been established for Blandinsville Christian Church and Blandinsville Rescue Squad.
