Susan J. (Walleston) Morrissette, 48, of 1928 300th St., Woolstock, Iowa, formerly of Northbridge, Massachusetts and Milford, a floral designer and a community activist, died Saturday in North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City, after a short illness. She leaves her father, Francis L. Walleston; a son, Aaron L. Morrissette, both of Upton; a daughter, Aimee M. Walleston of New York City; a brother, Wayne F. Walleston of New River, Ariz.; several nieces; and a close friend, Chuck Burton of Woolstock. She was born in Milford, daughter of Claire L. (Burns) Walleston, and lived many years in Northbridge before moving to Iowa last year. She graduated from Milford High School. Mrs. Morrissette was a floral designer for several florists in this area. She was former chairman of the Northbridge Conservation Commission. While in Iowa, she was active in a program to better the living conditions of American Indians, and organized a canned-food drive to help the Lakota and Sioux tribes in Porcupine, S.D. A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Wednesday in Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford. Burial will be in Purchase Street Cemetery, Milford. Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: Leonard Peltier Defense Committee for American Indians, P.O.
