Edna L. De Groot, 94, of Meth-Wick Manor, died there Saturday after a long illness. Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. today, Meth-Wick Manor, where friends may register after 2 p.m. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Lindsay of Mankato, Minn., and a sister, Grace Fothergill of Wilmington, Del. Also surviving are a son-in-law, Bryce Lindsay; a niece, Marjorie Mabrey of Wilmington, Del.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Edna was born Dec. 24, 1897, in Eagle Grove and married George J. De Groot there Jan. 8, 1924. He died in 1972. She was a junior high teacher and taught in Kamrar, Thor and Woolstock for six years. She was a member of Mizpah Circle of King's Daughters, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Circle, and Chi Omega Mothers Club. The Rev. Robert Dennert will officiate. Memorials to Meth-Wick Manor.
