Edna L. De Groot, 94, of Meth-Wick Manor, died there Saturday after a long illness. Memorial services: 2:30 p.m. today, Meth-Wick Manor, where friends may register after 2 p.m. Inurnment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Lindsay of Mankato, Minn., and a sister, Grace Fothergill of Wilmington, Del. Also surviving are a son-in-law, Bryce Lindsay; a niece, Marjorie Mabrey of Wilmington, Del.; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Edna was born Dec. 24, 1897, in Eagle Grove and married George J. De Groot there Jan. 8, 1924. He died in 1972. She was a junior high teacher and taught in Kamrar, Thor and Woolstock for six years. She was a member of Mizpah Circle of King's Daughters, St. Paul's United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women and Circle, and Chi Omega Mothers Club. The Rev. Robert Dennert will officiate.
