Margery Trask, 68, passed away March 30, 2006 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center after a six year courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded by her immediate family until the end.

Marge was raised in Goldfield, Iowa and was married to her high school sweetheart, Glenn, for 32 years until he was taken from her at a young age of 51. Previous to her fight with cancer, she was self employed sewing and selling her crafts. Over the years, Marge volunteered and lead many youth activities, including, Girl Scouts, church youth groups, music boosters and chaperoning many school activities. She also enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards and bird watching. Her greatest love was spoiling her grandchildren and great-grandson, along with attending their various events.

Marge is survived by two sons, Greg of Findlay, Ohio and Doug of Swisher, Iowa; and two daughters, Glenda (Doug) Elliott of Polk City, Iowa and Lori (Kevin) Deaton of Dallas Center, Iowa; six grandchildren, Angie (Jeremy) Beck, Stacie White, Molly and Spencer Elliott, Derek Trask and Danielle Deaton; and one great- grandson, Hunter Beck; three sisters, Betty Shirley, Dorothy (Beryl) Reichter and Edna (Dennis) Stoll; and one brother, Roger Schnell. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn and her parents, Sander and Lillian Schnell.
Her family would like to send a special thank you to Dr. Roscoe Morton and his staff, along with the many caring nurses and staff on the Powell Oncology Unit. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Ankeny Funeral Home, 1510 W. First Street, Ankeny. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday at Ankeny First United Methodist Church, 206 SW Walnut Street, Ankeny. Interment will be at Ankeny Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in order to continue to find a cure for the many families that are impacted by this disease.
