Services were held at Lincoln Memorial Park & Funeral Home, Portland, Ore., Aug. 15 for Ellen S. Jeppsen, former resident of Barrington for 64 years, and former member of Salem United Methodist Church. Born Aug. 22, 1915, in Goldfield, Iowa, she died Aug. 10 in Portland, Ore. Surviving family members include four brothers, Vernei (Gladys) of St. George, Utah; Harold (Claire) of Weatherly, Pa.; Kenneth (Betty) of West Chicago; and Donald (Mary) of Barrington. She was preceded in death by her parents Chris and Carrie Jeppsen, her sisters Evelyn Grant and Esther Van Patten and her brother Robert.
