Rose was born to Chris and Anna Madson on Oct. 4, 1903, in Goldfield, Iowa. She married Henry William Stebritz on Jan. 2, 1924. They had five children. Rose spent most of her life in Algona, was extremely active in her church and community and belonged to the American Legion Auxiliary. On Aug. 3, 1988, she moved to Cedar Rapids, where she had been a resident at 200 Clive Dr. SW. Surviving are three daughters, Bev and husband Bob Hanson of Cedar Rapids, Joan and husband Jerome Klepper of Kaui, Hawaii, and Diane Kirsch of Overland Park, Kan.; 19 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; two children, Bob Stebritz and Mary Wilhelmi; four sisters and three brothers. Rose left many close, dear friends in Algona. Everyone who knew her loved her and will miss her very special loving ways. She was a loving mother and grandmother, "the best grandma in the world."
