GLADYS E. DOUGLAS, 91, who retired from the civil service in Omaha, Neb., died Oct. 17, 1995, in Colorado Springs. Private services are planned. Mountain View Mortuary, 2350 Montebello Square Drive, is handling arrangements. Mrs. Douglas was born Nov. 12, 1903, in Humboldt County, Iowa, to Metz H. and Marie (Madsen) Rasmussen. She was married to LaVerne F. Douglas, who is deceased. She is survived by a son, Loren L. of Anchorage, Alaska; a daughter, Marilyn Wilber of Colorado Springs; a brother, Marshall Rasmussen of Goldfield, Iowa; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and seven great-great- grandchildren. Mrs. Douglas served in the Army from 1943 to 1945. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region, 633 S. Eighth St., Colorado Springs 80905.
